Greenbelt Green Man Festival 2014

Posted on May 12, 2014 by erin.whitt.hilker@gmail.com Posted in Uncategorized .

Whew, what a weekend! Talk about some gorgeous weather! And I didn’t get burned this time, so extra points for me Had a great time, met wonderful folks as usual, and some previous customers tracked me down for more! Excellent.

Two days also meant that I got to see how the henna turned out on customers from the first day, and I am very pleased. Why so pleased? Cause it means my new oils are working great.  Of course they are, because they’re the same certified organic aromatherapy grade essential oils I always insist on using, but I was still worried about switching brands. Because I’m a nut about my рыбалка в Калининграде для туристов henna blend. If you ever want to watch someone take something WAY too seriously, ask me about it ;p

Anyhow, here are my pretty new buds, fresh from Mountain Rose Herbs, who have always done well by me for herbs, spices, containers and all their stuff really. Not getting paid or anything, these guys have just consistently delivered quality, and I appreciate that because I’m such a stickler for it myself

I’ll add this weekend’s designs to the gallery soon, I’m in the process of breaking them into sections so it’s not such a monster to scroll through. I will leave you with this, my sunflower! I didn’t want to do the normal net or game pattern center, so tried to catch the Fibonacci goodness of sunflower centers with some interweaving spirals.

I’m pretty enthused about it, can’t wait to try it again. I’m pretty sure I know how I did it, but practice makes perfect

Anyhow, it was lovely seeing you all, I’m going to go fall over now.     ….zzzzzzzzzzzzz……

I map out my circle in dots first, and I do the same for my center line. Then I do all my curved lines one way, and go back and do the crisscrossing ones. This pattern just clicked for me after 6 hours of hennaing, I was totally in the zone. I guess it was a henna revelation!
